Little red worms in the sand?

I have these tiny little red worms in my sand. They look like little patches of hairy sand. They're pretty tiny. What are they? Are they ok to keep around or should I be trying to get rid of them?

Sounds like bristle worms. Do they look like this....

Spaghetti worm it is. I have begun my worship ceramony already! I've seen that same page a hundred times. Guess that one part didn't sink in!
