Little White Tree on Rock...what is it?

Found this on some new rock I got from the LFS. Any idea as to what it is?

Looks like possibly some type of macro. Does it react to light or touch?

I haven't tried to see if it reacts to touch. As far as I can remember it doesn't seem to react to light.

You still think it's a macro? Just so I'm understanding...macro=macroalgae?

Yes, I feel it is a macroalgae.

Actually it looks like a type of "branching" white foraminiferan.

It may be a foram. I never gave that a thought. Harmless detrius consumers. Check this link, toward the bottom of the page.

It definitely looks like a foram after checking out the other pictures.
