I have 2 things, cant get a good picture on them though :( on the side of my LR i have this light almost transparent white stuff ALL over it resembling snot, its hard to touch....next in the crevice of my other LR i have very sturdy looking spider webs, white in color and almost looks like a cartoon explosion that was frozen in time...any help? TIA

white 'spider web' looking things

Are probably an algae like what I had growing in my tank and is now cecluded to inside my filter (see pic). It likes growing in dark places. It's not harmful, but can grow out of control if enviromnent is right. The picture doesn't show how it branches out like roots of a plant as it was when it grew in the tank, but you can get the general idea. If it grows out of control it's easy to remove manually.
I wouldn't worry.

I've always been told those spiderweb things are low light/no light branching sponges. My lfs has a tank full of them.
