Name that fish (6/07/02 - 6/14/02)
This weeks mystery fish is an easy one, it also happens to be one of my favorites.

WooHoo!!!!
Almost everyone got it right, this weeks fish was the Flame Hawkfish (Neocirrhitus armatus). The flame hawk is a reef safe hawkfish, with tons of personality. I have had one in every reef I've had, and cannot forsee a reef without one. They are predators and care should be taken when adding decorative shrimp or very small fish. The largest I've ever seen this fish is about 3.5 inches, it will occupy it's day swimming from one perch to another. I have found them to be a hardy disease resistant fish and an eccellent addition to any reef.
