Cant really tell from pic. Is it a new rock? Maybe a polyp.

Yes, it is a new rock. New setup, going through the cycle.

It really does not look like a zoa not even closed . It looks too fuzzy to be a zoa IMHHO

sponges are good thing , they filter your tank

I'm leaning more towards polyps rather than a sponge. If you can post and updated pic of it that would be great. I'd like to see it a little closer.
