Can anyone ID the sea star I found on my live rock. I would say it was a brittle sea star but it has 6 arms! Also there is some sort of tube thing growing on it along with a pink little sprout I think it is too small to tell but I'm not sure. Also does anyone know what this orange algae is? :thanks:

Mini Brittle stars often have odd numbers of legs. Nothing to be concerned about. I've seen them with 2-7.

Defiantly Mini Brittle.. I've herd there good to have.. The other pic is kinda hard to see but maybe some sort of tube for worm

Yeah, I can't get a good enough look at the "tube thing growing on it along with a pink little sprout" but that sounds like a mini feather duster to me. Just filter feeders.
"Orange algae" sounds like... well, orange algae. LOL Probably a low light species of coralline algae. I had a lot, but anything above the halfway point in my tank has vanished, to be replaced by pink.
