Never seen anytjing like this

The pics are tough to see the details, but up close, it looks like a feather. They kind of zigzag seeming like it was from a snail or something. I have a turbo snail, and some small CUC snails as well as a starfish that is always buried in the ground. Anyone have a clue???

Snails of some kind. The larvae may or may not survive depending on what kind of fish you have.
 
I would imagine it's from my turbo snail. The others are way too small to do that type of trail. I appreciate the info. The fish in the tank include a percula clown, salt and pepper angel, 4 blue damsels, diamond goby, watchman goby, mantis shrimp, and a Colombian shark. Hopefully I'll get a few survivors out of it. Pretty sweet if I do!
