Not Another Crab ID thread

i rescued this Hitchhicker crab, from someone who brought it into petco.

what did i get? good or bad?

nothing else in the tank right now, i am realy only a week into cycling it.

I dont really know but the big claws are not a good sign. Usually the sign of a predator.

I don't have the name off-hand, but indeed a predatory crab that, if my mind is right, gets very large and will prey on invertebrates while small and eventually able to consume fish.

The claws are very strong and sharp so it could very well injure most fish even at a small size....cut the claws first if that is its fate.
