i bought this algae the other day and don't remember what it is called. i was hoping you can help me ID it and let me know how to grow it in my refuge.

i also have some algea i was given by a friend. its like a ball of wire. thank you.

the ball of wire sounds like chaetomorpha, not sure what the image is.

I agree on the ball of wire being cheatomorpha. The other could be Chlorodesmis fastigiata/turtle weed.

i think you are probably right fluff. mine came in a bunch attached to nothing. and from what i read about this grass it need good flow?? i don't think that can happen in my fuge unless i use a powerhead? thanks for the help

Then it is exactly what Hara & Fluff said. Do a google image search on chaetomorpha. You will see many examples and articles.
