Peru I haven't got a good pic but this thing has moved today, it's the size of your little toe nail, pink and has a load of spikes sticking up?
What on earth?!

Is it a juvenile sea urchin? I have one in my tank and it just appeared one day. It turns out it was a hitch hiker and was basically born in my tank. Its now about 3 - 4 inches wide!

Is it round like a ball?

Wow, sounds well exciting, it's more flat than round, but looking from its round.

They're pretty cool creatures. Some of them can be poisonous though so you need to find out what it is. Does it look like this?

Can you upload an image?

Sorry for bad pic, it's too small and far away for iPhone.
Defo not a polyp and it's paper thin, are urchins this thin?

Thanks but sorry, I just turned it over and it appears to be off something that isn't alive anymore, possibly my dead red leg hermit?!
It's a fragment of shell
...boooo
