each little arm has little flowers and each is about a 1/4 inch across. Dont know much about it. any help will be great. Thanks!

A picture would help, but it sound like Goniapora or Alveapora. Both of which are very hard to keep alive, with the red Goniapora being a exception, however should still be left for advanced aquarist.
