I found something the other day on a rock of mine. There is only one bloom that comes out when the lights are on. It closes occasionally and does close when anything gets close to it. It looks like a poly that extends 1/3 to 1/2" diameter circle.. with white tenticle edges.

There is only one of them... any ideas?

I can't get a picture of it right now.. maybe I can find a pic of it online.

But it just showed up after 4 months or so of the tank running.. but on a rock that is well.. about a year and a half old.

Hey noteworthy, I moved this to the proper forum so it would get better attention.

Thanks Melosu

Hrmmmm its not coming out now.. I would think lights would force a coral to open...

Sounds like some sort of anemone.. would need a pic to be sure.

As to light "forcing" corals to open.. they won't open if stressed.
