Just trying to get a positive ID on this leather coral. When I bought it, it was labeled as a toadstool leather, as it had its distinctive cup shape, but rather small. Over the 2 months its been in my tank, its slowley formed itself into a plate like leather. The surface is still tough and leathery, so its not sick.

Params for Jimbo :D
ammo- 0
nitrite- 0
nitrate- 0
ph- 8.0
SG- 1.025
temp- 80
250w MH, bulb less than 2 weeks

Stays in light, but not direct light.

Hard for me to tell but it does not look like toadstool. Any chance of a more close up pic.

Mike this is the best I can do without getting it out of the water. My camera is nothing to brag about, sorry. I'll do my best !!

Those bumps are little polyps that come and go. Kinda like the polyps on my finger leather, just not as many.

Looks like a cabbage leather to me. Toadstools usually have a "trunk" and long polyps, neither of which I'm seeing, but it is a little blurry.

EDIT: AMD you beat me by like 30 seconds. Jerk.

Looks like a cauliflower cabbage leather to me also. Mine`s not new but here is mine after about 8 yrs.
