Hey everyone,
So I bought a random frag from my LFS with some pom pom xenia on it. Turns out the xenia was actually attached to another piece of coral. The guy at the LFS said it was a brain coral, but I just want to be sure. Can someone help me identify this coral?

You can see in the pic that the pom pom xenia is on the right, but what's this coral it's attached too on the left?

Thanks for all your help!

"Brain coral" is a general term used to identify a bunch of different corals. It appears to be a Lobophyllia. Some even call them a "tooth coral".

Some refer to Galaxea corals as a tooth coral as well, just like how "brain" is used. The important thing is that you have a Lobo there.
