echoplex has fishy dreams
Red flake algae growth?

This red stuff is growing off a single rock, nowhere else in the tank. Fairly brittle, and it's growing about 1mm a week. What is it?

Thanks!

This is actually not an algae at all, but instead an animal. They are foraminiferans. They are harmless detrivores.
