If the sea apple survives and does well you will also need to be wary of spawning. If a female they release eggs into the water column where they get destroyed by the equipment. The toxins released will kill all fish in the tank in under a few hours. Males will release sperm and should be easily removed by the skimmer unaffecting the animals unless a small tank.

They might not give you any cash but you should at the very least get a store credit. Call around and check with a few different locations.
