Some sort of worm?

I have this little tube worm type thing with red hair. Any idea? I'll try and get a picture later. Was hoping the description might be a clue to get started with.

Probably just a feather duster. I have one like that. White tube with red feathers.

Whew! I was so afraid it was one of the dreaded flat worms! LOL! Of course the fact that it wasn't flat should have been my first clue...
