This is growing out of my sand.. do I kill it with fire? Or is it frendly?

This tentacle lookig plant/animal came out of my sand.

It looks like aiptasia. The best way to remove big ones is with aiptasia x. Or you could get a aiptasia eating file fish. My lfs let me rent one so it could eat all the aiptasia in my tank then when it had no more to eat I took it back to the fish shop. You could keep it, they do look quite nice. But then it may override your tank, if you where wanting to kill it the methods I mentioned will work or I'm sure some other people have ideas. Do not use fire though. Hope this helps.

Is this somethig that is going to become a problem in the tank or do you think it will be manageable? Im curious as to what it will look like biger and im verry open to a diverse tank.
 
You don't want aiptasia, it will sting anything it touches and doesn't look nice. Over time it will reproduce and over run the tank.
 
Since it's in the sand you can literally pick it up in your hands. Easy removal.
