Turbo Snail?

I got conflicting stories on this snail. It's a big one about 2.5 inches across. Thanks

In my experience I had them die in my tank. I guess mine didn't have enough algae to eat. Now that I look back though they did eat a lot of algae. I had a 20 so they didn't have enough food so I recommend a large system for them to eat algae. Also I heard people say they collapse rocks because of their large size

I have a 150 and I don't clean my back glass. Plenty of algae build up. I've never seen a turbo with coloring like this one

I haven't seen a turbo snail that looked like that either. Can you take another pic of the top of the shell?

If that isn't him, I'd be more inclined to believe he is one of the tapestry nerite snails.

looks like a zebra nerite. I have a few in my tank

I had zebra turbos in my tank for a few years. They grew to be nearly the size of a flattened baseball. They get big

I got 2 other turbo snails with him. He's the biggest. Picked the 3 up for free

I think these are the sane type of snails as you have. I'm also curious to know what kind they are.

They've gotta be zebra turbos. I think most pics of them that we are used to seeing are smaller ones. That's what they don't look exactly the same
