I have this type of alge that i havn't seen anywhere yet. It is green and has long stalks with bubbles growing off the stalks. Should i remove this stuff?

Here are a couple of pics. In the first one it is difficult to make out the bubbles but in the second you can see them right in front of the shrimp.

Grape caulerpa. :? IME a complete pest algae in the main tank. Personally I would remove it.

Cheers

A different opinion.
I cultivate a medium "nest" of grape caulerpa and prefer it to other macroalga. It is easiest to remove or "harvest" than feather caulerpa. It grows very quickly taking up mass quantities of nutrient as it grows. I remove a large handful every couple of weeks. If you can grow it in an area of your tank that you can devote to it, it is an excellent nutrient export mechanism.
