Unknown starfish. Is it reef safe?

Friend of mine bought this starfish for their tank, and I've never seen it before and at first glance it struck me as probably not reef safe lol
Yeah he and his wife said "yeah it sits on top of the corals sometimes" and pointed out an area of green star polyp that the star fish had allegedly eaten away at it. Any info on this bugger will be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

I don't know what it is...but def not reef safe. Sounds like a sump starfish.

Lol that's where it is as of now. I'll told them to toss it in the sump.
