Volcano looking white growths in fuge

What are these things.. they look like little white filamentos volcanos. they attach to the glass and pluming in the fuge.. there was 1 now about 5 in about 2-3 weeks.. any clues?? too small to pic..

I have tons of those is both tanks that i have. They are harmeless arent they?

Yep, totally harmless. Just be careful touching them - they have bristles sort of like glass splinters that can get imbedded under your skin. Harmless to the tank, though.
