What do brittle stars eat?

I'm getting a ophiothrix fragilis I don't know what they eat.

They are usally scavengers and eat anything really

Yes we might put in coral but a ophiothrix fragilis is the type of star

brittle stars/serpent stars will eat just about anything it can find on the sand
they are a good part of a clean up crew as they will eat dead fish and pellets any left over foods
of the 2 stars I seem to lean towards the serpent stars as they seem to be hardier IMO

Yes I will put in coral as well as other small fish

that's up to you there both neat but I always found serpents to be more hardy,
the only thing with both type stars is they tend to spend most of there time hiding within the rocks .

Well the star could go in a 10 but you'd need a larger tank if you will be adding more than 1 small fish.

How long do you cycle a tank before introducing the fish?

In my case I'm going to be introducing a ophiothrix fragilis so if it's specific.
