What is this?

This thing was on the live rock from the LFS. It has survived initial tank set up and is growing. Is it a pest or a welcome addition?

It looks like apistia which is a pest. Joe's Juice is one way of getting rid of it another way is injecting it with very hot water or lemon juice. Peppermint shrimp is a hit or miss type of natural control.

Thanks, I'll get rid of it. Interestingly enough we were going to add a few peppermint shrimp as part of our cleaning crew. Guess I now have the excuse to get some . If they dont get it, I WILL!!!!

pest!!! I use hot water do get rid of mine! I had two and got rid of both.

Peppermint shrimp is a hit or miss type of natural control.

I added them they did nothing to control them. I not sure they even cared it was around. Still cool to have peppermint shrimp in the tank though.
