I assume your asking about the white/clear tentacles sticking out. If so those are the sweeper tentacles and corals use those to fight off other corals that are close by. They sting the other coral with these.

Sorry stupid phone died last night, makes sense about the tentacles, any ideas what the tongue/carpet part is, its pink like a tongue doesn't move around but looks like a carpet
