I've had my tank for a few months now, and all I've been doing is my weekly water change and checking the salinity. No nitrate checks, etc. I assume the pictures of these algaes are a bad foreign algae. Please let me know what I need to do or if its ok. Thanks!

I`m going to send this to our identification forum. It looks like Hair algea to me. But Good luck

Picture 1 looks like a bit of some micro algea this is safe just watch it so that it does not over take your tank.
Picture 2
Looks like cyano / blue green algea , you want to rid your tank of this .
What does it feel like slimy , breaks away easy or in sheets ? Or long and stringy ?

How old is your tank , what are your tests ,
Ammonia
NitrIte
NitrAte
PH
and phosphate
It is a sign of too much nutrients in the water , you may wish to add a phosphate sponge to your filter, also try increasing the flow and increase H20 changes to dilute them out a bit .....Reduced lighting may also help a bit by reducing by a couple hours , IE if you light for 12 try 10 for a little for a few weeks till you see die off,or improvement ...
