Just bought this over the weekend. Noticed a couple spots when I was dipping it. I don't know if it is spreading or retracting. IMG_1480552478.506584.jpg

Goni. Dead spots. Very poor long term survival. Very few make it past a couple months. The ORA reds seem to be hardiest.

Once a flower pot starts to recede, there seems to be no stopping it. It has been theorized that they like a 'dirtier' water, but have never personally seen any successful. This coral was kept early on in the hobby as many felt they were successful, but in reality it simply takes them a long period of time to die off.

You really have to get aquaculture ones or you have no shot. They're hardier than they used to be but getting wild ones is a death sentence

Should I cut frag it down to get rid of the dead spots?
