What is this on my frag

Just noticed this white thing growing on one of my frags can you help identify it and if I should get it off

Looks to be a sponge, it shouldn't be a problem unless is starts growing over the zoas. If it does I'd take it out and scrape it off.

Okay thanks... Do they just pop up out of no where never had a sponge in my tank not sure where it would of came from

Yep they Kind of appear and disappear out of nowhere but they are a sign of a healthy system

That's a good thing will it stay alive if I scrap it off
