What kind of leather?

Pretty sure it's a leather. Any particular kind?

Someone must know. Am I way off base here? Is it not a leather at all?

Hey spoon, I've seen them called Thin Finger Leathers. Staghorn or Devils Hand Leathers are pretty much same structure, with thicker fingers. I've got a Staghorn and a huge Toadstool that drop ears constantly. Probably 8 a month, I trade them at my LFS. Nice pc. will look great all opened up and tall. They like decent flow, but not too much or they won't swell up and open. One thing I've noticed too is that when in a lot of flow the Toadstool drops more ears, looking to expand its area.

Hey spoon, actually I guess I have 2 toadstools, my how they grow. Check it out, the one to the left is a 3 year old offspring of the one on the right
