What kind of Snail

I got this from LFS a few months ago...guy said it was a sundial snail...I was doing some research today and ran across a picture of an actual sundial snail... and from the pics I saw of a sundial snail, this aint it!!!

Any Idea what kind this is? On top of the xmas tree rock. It's got spikes that stick out in a spiral.

It looke more like an ASTRAEA SNAIL.

Yep, that would be the one....I swear they just say stuff to shut me up. Guy had no clue what it was, so he just said sundial.

Yeah, sundials are bad if you have zoas in your tank.

Thats how I ran across a pic of a real sundial...I was checking out what could have caused some of my zoos to die...I saw that sundials eat zoos, then looked at the picture and said, "Thats not what I have"...Thank goodness.

Of coarse, now i still dont know what happened to my zoos.

The LFS people have no idea what is going on in my opinion, or at least mine don't. If they don't sell it they just guess. I am lucky there is a guy here at Oceans Below, he knows his stuff, and backs it up with field guides.
