What kind of snail is this?

Is it harmful, if so what does it eat? This is the first time I have been able to get a good picture of it. I know I have 2 of them and they only come out at night. I just installed moon lights, so now I can see them clearly.

I have been advised that this snail is a turban snail. The scoop is they do better in cooler tanks and are non invasive snails. That would explain why they only come out when the lights are off. I ahve been told that some folks have failed to keep them alive due to the temperature situation. Well, that is typical for me. I can keep hard to keep stuff around forever, and easy to keep stuff dies. Just kidding of course.. As long as my fish don't eat my corals, they stay alive just fine.
