Several of my snails that I recieved from LiveAquaria have started developing white spots on their shells. Some are now completely white. Is this the sign of any type of disease? Should I be concerned?

All fish in the tank are doing well and do not have any spots.

Thanx,

Patrick

Here is a picture of one of the turbosnails. When I got them they were all mostly covered in pink/red corraline algae. Now they are turning white??

I don't think it is anything to be concerned about. Either you don't have enought light or proper conditions to maintain the species of coraline that was encrusting the snails, or they have had their shells out of water long enough to kill the coraline on their shells.

Thanx. That is reassuring. I am always a little concerned when I introduce new stuff to the tank and start seeing stuff turn white. I know, I know I should get a QT but can't see that happening for awhile.
