Worms?

So iv'e got these little guys in various places on rocks and what not, they're alive but no bigger that about a 1/2 inch at most. I would say they're more a light shade of brown than white. Anybody know what these guys are? Are they bad?

Is that a hard shell on the outside? It's hard to tell from the picture, but possibly a fan worm.

Well I didn't see anything aside from their bodies and and today I didn't notice any of them at all. I'm not sure if they've got a hard shell or not as I have not plucked on from the tank yet. If it is are they harmless?

If they are in the same spot they were, attached to the rock, they are fan worms and harmless. There are only a few worms out there that are actually bad news, and I don't recall any that look like the picture being so. Can you get a clearer pic?
