3 months into planted tanks.. transformations

I have 2 10g tanks stacked. One is sand and the other has plant friendly substrate mixed with gravel.. im excited and wish my plants would grow quicker lol. Top 2 are the current photos added a black plain background to the sand tank though.

They look great! What are the plants that look like grass on the right hand side of the tank with the gravel?

Im not sure what they are called but the guy at petsmart said itd be best to have in my tank and it would grow tall.. most of it browned from the adjustment period.. I hope it grows because my guppy looks preggos. Im searching for some guppy grass for a decent price.
