After slowing building the stand, then waiting until moving in to our new house to start cycling, I finally added fish a couple of weeks ago - 4+ months after getting a steal in one of Petsmart's clearances :fish2:

My 55g on top of my home-made stand. The little LCD in the middle below it is displaying temperature data, powered by an Arduino Uno, that also runs a mini webserver so I can check in on things online

Julii corys and neon tetras:

Three of my Julii corys feeding with neon tetras blurring around them. The 18" or so driftwood is partially buried in the gravel, with large stones dotted across the tank bottom. I have a mixed planted and plastic setup - most of my real plants are simple annubias, such as the three visible here.

Silver hatchetfish:

My latest additions. I need to provide some plants around the surface for them I think.

This was my first attempt at photographing aquariums, and it's definitely a change from sled dogs!
