This is the food I use. I use the 3mm sized pellets because my fish are bigger. The people that I know who use this has bigger, healthier fish than using that other stuff. It also does not gross out the water as fast. You can't find it at the big stores, but most small lfs have it.

Yep, the 1mm is the perfect size for the smaller fish.

It costs a little more, but you don't need to use as much.
