Beautiful fish. I'd like to keep and breed some apistos once I get a brine shrimp hatchery setup.

You must take pics right after feeding bloodworms?! They look so happy!

TCC, what is the difference between these and rams?

Your apistogramma's are beautiful little cichlids.

Thanks! Mine actually dont like brine shrimp, at least not the frozen package. I keep lots of moss around and feed the fry vinegar eels and then get them to nls asap!

There are some differences, but rams used to be in the apistogramma genus. They are both south american dwarf cichlids, they both like soft water. Apistos prefer a little cooler temps. There are close to 100 species of apistogramma and the differences pick up there. Aggression and other traits very from species to species.
