Aquarium Substrate Pic's

Hey everyone,

I am planning my aquarium and can't make up my mind as to if I want sand or aquarium gravel. I know I will go with a darker color maybe black.

Can you guys show me some pic's of your set up's so that I can have a better idea of the different looks between these two substrates and the available colors?

Why don't you check out my albums for a better idea of different types.

The black is 3m color quartz T grade. You can still find it at some pool supply stores. Not as fine as sand, not as large as smaller gravels.

The white sand is pool filter sand

The gravel tanks are a mix of smaller river rock and pea gravel.

Thanks again DragonFish71!! I had read about the black 3m quartz pool sand but also that it wasn't available, so I'l call around like you said. I really like the look of the black sand a lot! All of your photo album pic's were great, I especially liked the Cichlid set up!!
