Please submit your pictures for the August POTM contest.

Please refrain from discussing the photos in this thread. Only information about the particular photo will be allowed. Start a new thread if you wish to discuss a particular photo.

The Rules:
  • All photos must be original photos taken by you.
  • All photos must be submitted in .jpg format and should be limited in size to 800 x 600 or 600 x 800 depending on layout and a file size no larger than 250KB.
  • All submissions should also include helpful information relating to the background of the subject, care requirements, etc.
  • Only 1 photo submission per month per member.
  • No photo editing other than resizing is permitted.

Submissions for the August POTM will be taken until 8pm EST on August 24th.
 
I always seem to be taking pictures of flowers. Don't ask me the name, I really have no idea. Lol. And it is real!

picture taken at my home last night with some mammatus behind it following a pretty descent low topped supercell. got some golf ball sized hail with it.

baby bird

this little guy fell out of a nest in a heavy wind storm with another nest was destroyed, used a bird cage and left them on our back deck with the door open mom found them and returned to feed them until they could fly away. he was in the shrub about 2 feet from me when i was bbq'ng just hanging out

Taken at a local park today, I wanted to try to get even closer but our dog barked and scarred him away.
