He is just getting used to centerstage.. most of the time he chills background.. I'm trying to keep him out with good cues, i used mebbid's tap tap on the top when I feed and it's simply amazing how fast they've picked up on the cue..

Thanks!! I've lots of time and energy into those bad boys.. I'm happy at the moment but than again. I was happy at the moment a week before I tore down the 10 gal last month.. ahh it never ends this curse errm I mean hobby of ours

Can I see the female for comparison? That panduro is showing like a female, at the size we talked about earlier the male should have some ventral extention and lateral spot at most definitely not a vertical band.
To try to sex the fry I would need better pictures from the side.

Yes I'll get a pic later.. I don't know much about these guys but I though the females had more of a yellow hue like most apisto females?? Are you referring to the dark patches not seeming right for a male? Forgive my noobness

Yeah typically males will display a lateral spot and the female will form a vertical band in the same area, the color is typical of a female that is not brooding here's a couple shots of mine. You'll notice the lateral spot on the male and the band on the female who too was not brooding at the time. I should also mention that a broken red band in the caudal fin is a trait of a female.

I really liked my iphone, don't get me wrong.. I just wanted to try something new.. hey Gillie. . Best I could do with her, she's not gone Hollywood yet..
