Yeah bolivians crush decimate even large colonies... You could try the tiger nerites!

Did your fish not eat the shrimp I brought some red cherry shrimp and they ate mine

I only have little fish with little mouths. They are Nano species ( stay small )
They leave adults alone, but do eat babies.

This started as Shrimp and Otos only. Started with 15 RCS. Got to about 100 RCS. They breed well for me. Added fish slowly. I miss my herds of baby Shrimp. Next Shrimp tank will be Otos only as they are the ONLY Shrimp safe fish I know.

My Betta slaughtered any RCS. Ghost Shrimp were ok. Cherries were dinner. He was in a different 10g.
