Chili Coral

Just wanted to show off my chili coral.
I don't know that much about them, but
I enjoy watching it open up. Does it look
normal?

Very cool. Be sure to feed it regularly. I'm sure you are aware that they are non-photosynthetic so a little more work needs to go into making sure they receive the nutrition needed.

Yep, non-photosynthetic so you need to target feed it. Also likes medium to strong currents. Cant remember light requirements.... Have it in one of my books, but that book is apparently in hiding at this moment. Yours looks great!

I feed him marine snow daily with a turkey baster. Plankton also.
I keep him directly under powerhead and in the "shade". He's in
a 20 gal. He was in my 40 gal but was not happy for some reason.
Maybe too much flow. Who knows. Stays open a lot.

no light is necessary. feeding is. sounds like you are doing the right thing. just be careful- it's very easy to foul the water, feeding non-photo corals. especially in a 20 gallon tank.
