Yes, they're non-photosynthetic and require feeding at least several times week.

I think they are easy. If you can keep LPS corals, you should be fine. Under $100 usually.

It is an Aussie Platygyra. Very easy to keep. That one was $248 but it was the size of my fist.

It sat lifeless (came from EBay) for almost 3 months, then put its base down (that took over a month) then it took off growing. This is just over a year. Growth is much faster at this point.
