Picked up a sad torch coral at my lfs today. It had already lost 3 heads and the last remaining living head was sad looking but it was obvious there wasn't enough light for it since the polyps were retracted and there was almost no color to it. I took this pic 30 minutes after putting it in my tank.

Low-Med flow is what seems to be good for me. They like to be fed often too. I have mine in the 'front door' to a rock cave. It started off as one single head. Love this coral. There are also 2 types of ducan. Branching and bushing. Mines a bush.

I'm pretty sure that's just what kind of environment they live in. Just like other stony corals, more flow will make them look and grow differently.

Well i was told this and have seen 2 really different types but im not possitive. Wonder why mine doesnt branch but keeps getting new heads.
