Hey, the first pic is my Fahaka puffer. He's in a 150 gallon plywood tank with a 30 gallon sump.

Jez.... That tank looks awesome. I have a 15 or so gallon marine tank. I'll post a vid or some pics of it after work today.

Awesome fahaka. How big and how long have you owned him?

Btw what do you have in your sump?

I'm also setting up a 40g sump/refugium for my fahaka's tank.

Plenty of activity in the tank now. Really enjoying sitting in front of it for what seems to be turning into hours.

Sorry I'm slow at replying... My sump is pretty simple. I have a plastic "drawer" in which I have : on the first level, scrubbies (the kind for dish washing), they are not submerged. On the bottom level is biomax and some filter sponges. These are submerged. I will try to get a few pics up in the morning.

My Fahaka's name is Mufasa. I've had him almost 2 years. Got him when he ( I use he, but really have no idea of the sex of the fish) was the diameter of a nickel. He's now about 8"-10" and easily 2" across. I feed him snails, pellets, crayfish, market shrimp and the occasional crab leg (kinda pricey).

These fish aren't cheap to feed lol. Fun watching them eat though.

I know why you mean, but it's all in the work you put in. I breed crayfish and snails, so my costs stay relatively cheap. Market shrimp I always buy from the discount bin ;)

that little (figure of speech) guy is adorable. it makes you want to reach in the tank and pet him! what a great fish and i'm sure he gets the best of care. :)
