Finally got a tank

I know it's not much but for our first aquarium it's not too bad. My son got a betta for his birthday. It was in a little bowl pictured below. I had been wanting an aquarium but when he got his fish it was time.

After about a week we got a 10 gal and he picked out the decorations. My wife got the plants which are okay for now but I plan to add real plants later on. This tank has been up and running for about a month now. I just did a partial water change and rearranged some things so I figured I'd snap some pics.

My wife just added the background (construction paper).

He seems much happier in there. We are going out of town soon, so we will probably add some tank mates when we get back. I'm thinking about trying a couple Cory cats and maybe a few neon tetras.

10g is perfect for a Betta! I'm sure he'll appreciate being moved from that bowl!
