Sorry, no pics myself as of yet, but I want to see some pictures... I'm sure some of you are going to see fireworks and some of you seem to have your camera everywhere you go anyway... so snap away... I went to our fireworks early last night so as to get a good parking space... played with my 3 yr old at the park for over an hour or so to later find out they were cancelled... not sure why but someone said they might be tonight... not sure I want to bother to drive out there again though, just too much to do... But I do want to see some cool pics...

A few tip on taking firworks pics.

1) small aperture (large f/stop)
2) 3-5 sec exposure (and then modify as needed) for the finales you will probably need to go with 2-3 sec
3) Use a tripod and shutter release or self timer
4) ISO about 400-800

Pretty cool, Hara!

Won't be any fireworks here till Nov. so I wanna see lots of pics too

Wonder pics!!! I got to see fireworks on Canada Day, but I thought they were lacking when compared to the shows I have seen on the 4th in the States!

fireworks...

Well, I said I wasn't going to go... but I did anyway... much better than last year... two years ago I was left in awe at the display this little town put on... at that point there was probably under or around 11,000 people... last years display left me feeling Extremely disapointed... this year was pretty good...There's around 14,000 people here now which is still kind of small but that considered the fireworks display was pretty nice. There's just some things I can't figure out with my camera. I've tried messing with and looking at all the settings... It seems the only time I can get a decent picture is if I'm using the flash which I didn't use for these... They came out quite spotty so I left most of them small, they look better that way. Not the best pics but you can tell they're fireworks...

First pic I took, you can see it was a cloudy evening and I wasn't zoomed in quite far enough, but I really like the photo.

I love that you can see the smoke in the pics!! What time did they do the fireworks down in FL?? It still looks light out!

They started a little after 9, the sun had just gone down and there was still a little light on the horizon, I was facing west which intensified the little bit of light left and it was 3-5 second exposures, so plenty of light was getting in.
