First planted and shrimp tank

Just made this stand for my 55 gallon and it's going great with plants and shrimp.

+1 to algae nightmare. Just keep an eye on it and if you can don't let the sun hit it for too long.

Absolutely!! Plus it could overheat and kill everything. ?

Ok...... I'm gonna to listen to your warnings and throw them out the window. Perhaps if I was a novice and did not consider co2 or fertilizers but everything is balanced and getting lots of light.

Has anyone in here tried using natural lighting?

I have seen natural light tanks im greenhouses but never for window. two panes of glass will not diffuse the light like a greenhouse does but good luck with it I would like to see how it turns out!

I'll post some pics once I get home. Added more plants yesterday. Have 5 berried shrimp so far.
