Well, a picture speaks a thousand words. Here it is, my first attempt at planting a tank.

Tank seems to be cycling now, but I'm away on holiday so can't maintain the ammonia addition. Was thinking about putting in a decent size group of Amano shrimp to at least keep some bioload. Would like to add my tetras too, but that means 4 days unattended.

Wow. Amazing! I like the tuff of green on the tip of the drifwood

Gorgeous! That motivates me to start using real plants. You did a fantastic job.

Looks good and natural. The hardest thing about having a planted tank is letting it grow in! You always want to make little changes here and there haha. Your fish are going to love it! Good Job!

Its pretty well stocked now. Cardinals, emporers, bentos, sterbai, adolfoi, 3 pairs of apistos and a starlight bristlenose. Plants have really grown well on the tropica substrate.

Got a pair of
A.Hongsloi 'red'
A.Njsseni
A.Cacatuoides

Hoping to add a green phantom L200 next week.
