Hey mumma of two your tank water Is incredibly clear how do you keep it that way??

The one at the top? It's a newly set up tank with daily water changes. Soon after that the diatoms took over and made it a brown mess lol. The tanks inside now. I will get some pics when the lights come on (it just after 6am here).
With good filtration, clean water and not too much light any tank will be clear.

The gold one is Charlie, black moor is Francis, ranchu is Percy and the silver oranda is Fenton.

Yes it is.
Made it to contain the gravel from the old tank I got some of my goldies from. They only had one tiny internal filter so IMO most of the BB would have been in the gravel so I used it in the filter to seed the new tank.

There were two filters. Both cheap powerheads from eBay so I don't know the brand names. One was 400L/h and the other was 1100L/h. The stronger one definitely worked better for the goldies. There are heaps of how-to videos on YouTube for DIY bottle filters. Smaller ones can be air driven for fry tanks.

My first two! The calico is Bruiser (due to his one black eye) and the other (a Blue Orinoco or something like that?) is Flash. He looks very silver in this picture but is a steel/carbon blue IRL.

Goldfish have specific needs that are different to tropicals. Please don't impulse buy one!

Oh I know I've had goldfish b4 the gold fish was I very first fish I had him for a few years until my cousin came along and over fed him :,( may sunny rest in piece. I love goldfish and seeing this thread made me want one more.
